There’s something truly special about Perdita — the kind of soft, soulful presence that makes a house feel like home.
At 2 years old, Perdita is everything we adore in a rescue pug: gentle, affectionate, laid-back, and completely devoted to her person. She came into rescue through one of our outreach partners, recovering from mange and testing positive for ehrlichia. With the right treatment and lots of love, she’s healing beautifully — her coat is filling back in, and she’s doing great on medication.
Perdita is a classic velcro girl. She loves to be near her people, locks eyes like she’s reading your thoughts, and offers her belly for rubs like it’s the greatest gift she can give. She’s wonderful with other dogs, gentle in nature, and happiest when she’s curled up beside you — or following just behind.
She’s also working hard on her potty manners. She’s catching on quickly but will still need a patient adopter who’s willing to keep up consistent outdoor breaks and gentle reminders. Like everything else she’s faced, she’s meeting this challenge with quiet determination — and she’s doing so well.
Perdita has the kind of heart you don’t forget. She’s been through a lot, but all she wants is someone to love — and someone who’ll love her right back.
