Agatha is an 8-year-old beauty whose gentle spirit and long lashes captured our hearts the moment she arrived. Found wandering as a stray, she is now safe in our care — officially part of the Evergreen Pug Rescue family.
When Agatha came in with a large knee mass, we were told it was likely a simple lipoma. Still, we sent it for pathology to be safe. That decision gave us the clarity we needed: the mass was a mast cell tumor. Agatha has already had x-rays completed, and the next step will be biopsies of her liver and spleen to determine if the cancer has spread.
Through it all, Agatha remains sweet, resilient, and trusting — the kind of soul who reminds us why every rescue matters. At Evergreen, placing a harness on a dog is a promise: to cherish them, protect them, and fight for them, no matter what lies ahead.
