You’d never believe she’s the same dog.
When Katie first arrived, she was covered in fleas, weak in her hind end, and completely shut down — a little soul who had been through too much. Her intake photo broke our hearts. But what a difference 21 days in rescue can make.
Today, Katie is walking stronger every single day. She takes short neighborhood strolls with her foster mom, navigates slippery wood floors like a champ, and even gets the zoomies! Her hind-end weakness is still there, but her determination shines brighter.
She’s discovered the joy of snuggling close to her foster dog siblings — inching ever closer until she’s part of the pug pile. And when it comes to food? Katie takes her meals very seriously. She’s convinced her foster mom sometimes forgets to feed her (spoiler: she doesn’t).
Her eyes are brighter, her spirit lighter, and — surprise! — she can both see and hear! With twice-daily eye ointment working miracles, she’s proving that a little care goes a long way. Oh, and did we mention? This girl is perfectly potty trained. Not a single accident since getting her health figured out.
From medicated baths to dental surgery (goodbye, rotten teeth!), Katie is healing from the inside out. She’s happy, healthy, and finally, home-ready.
