Willow is a 2-year-old pug with a gentle heart, a joyful spirit, and an easy, lovable nature that makes her a wonderful companion. She is affectionate and playful, loves toys—especially squeaky ones—and happily plays fetch. Willow is fully potty trained, does well with other pugs, and settles nicely into everyday home life.
Willow weighs about 25 pounds. She is not overweight; she is simply a larger, sturdier pug. If you are looking for a “teacup” pug, Willow is not the right fit. If you are looking for a solid, affectionate, cuddle-ready dog, she absolutely is.
Before coming to rescue, Willow was bought and sold as a breeding pair more than once. Her body reflects that reality. Her nipples are significantly sagging, likely the result of being bred repeatedly. This has understandably raised questions for potential adopters, and we believe those questions deserve clear, science-based answers.
Willow has already been spayed and is being evaluated by our veterinarian to determine whether her condition is purely cosmetic or if any medical intervention is recommended. We will follow our veterinarian’s guidance to ensure Willow’s long-term comfort and health.
Willow initially struggled with car rides, but with time and patience she has improved—and with every outing, she continues to do better and better. She is learning, gaining confidence, and showing just how adaptable she can be.
What matters most is who Willow is today. She is kind, happy, resilient, and full of love. This girl has a whole life ahead of her. She just needs someone who wants to spend it with her and show her how amazing life can be.
