Otis is a 4-year-old pug who recently joined Evergreen Pug Rescue as an owner surrender. From the moment he arrived, it was clear this sweet boy has so much love to give—but he was also quietly carrying a lot of discomfort.
During his veterinary exam, Otis was diagnosed with a Grade 4 luxating patella, the most severe form of kneecap dislocation. This means his kneecap is permanently out of place, causing significant pain and limiting his ability to move comfortably. Despite this, Otis has remained gentle, affectionate, and trusting—everything we love about this breed.
And here’s the best part—Otis is truly the whole package. He is cat approved, dog friendly, and perfectly house trained. He’s the kind of dog who settles in quickly and just wants to be near his people.

Otis didn’t choose this journey—but we’re committed to making sure his future is one filled with comfort, stability, and love. And with his easygoing, well-mannered personality, we know he’s going to make an incredible companion.
