Marshal’s story is one we won’t soon forget.
When this sweet 3-year-old boy first came into rescue, the condition he was in was heartbreaking. He was absolutely covered in fleas—so severely that during his first bath, the water turned black. Getting him to safety felt like a monumental win, and for many of us, it was an emotional moment that brought tears to our eyes.
And yet, through everything he had endured, Marshal showed us nothing but gentleness.
Despite arriving with a serious eye injury that ultimately required removal of one eye, Marshal has never let his past define him. He adjusted beautifully and moves through life with quiet confidence, grace, and resilience.
Marshal is calm, affectionate, and incredibly easy to love. He has a soft, steady presence that makes people feel instantly at ease. He enjoys being near his people, loves a cozy nap, and—in one of his most endearing quirks—actually enjoys spending time in his crate, treating it as his own safe little sanctuary.
Marshal is the kind of dog who reminds you how remarkable resilience can be. His journey may have started with hardship, but his future deserves nothing less than comfort, love, and the forever home he’s waited for.
