Charlie is a 1½-year-old bundle of puppy energy who came to us from California, where he had been kept outside in a crate—even during triple-digit temperatures. At one point, he tried to escape and suffered a large gash on his chest. Thankfully, the wound was already healing when he arrived, he has since been seen by a veterinarian, and he continues to heal well, although he may always have a pretty impressive scar. We’re still getting to know Charlie, but his foster says he is very much still a puppy—energetic, curious, playful, and incredibly silly! He gets along well with everyone and is quickly showing us what a fun, happy young guy he is.
