Her name means “strength” — and from the moment she was found, she has lived up to every letter of it.
Amari’s journey began in the most heartbreaking way: abandoned in a crate on the side of the road, in active labor. Despite the fear, the pain, and the uncertainty, this little mama fought with every ounce of her tiny body to bring her babies into the world.
Thanks to a quick-thinking Good Samaritan and a compassionate shelter team, Amari and her two surviving puppies were brought to safety — and now they are officially under the loving care of Evergreen Pug Rescue.
Safe, warm, and finally surrounded by the comfort she’s always deserved, Amari is proving just how gentle, devoted, and soulful she is. She adores her babies, leans into every soft touch, and is blossoming with each passing day.
Amari will stay in foster care until her pups are weaned and she’s ready for her own forever home — but for now, she’s right where she belongs: safe, healing, and cherished. Her puppies will be ready to go home the week of Christmas — a little holiday magic wrapped in pug wrinkles and puppy kisses.
