Lambchop is a 7-year-old pug with a heart as big as her eyes and a gentle spirit that’s carried her through a tough season of healing. She came to Evergreen Pug Rescue as a local owner surrender—her former family loved her deeply, but knew she needed medical care they couldn’t provide. We’re honored to have stepped in to help her find her next chapter.
Since arriving, Lambchop has had a soft palate resection, dental work, and nares correction, and she’s now breathing, eating, and resting more comfortably than ever. Her transformation has been heartwarming to witness—this little girl has truly blossomed.
Lambchop does have mobility challenges. Some days she’s steadier on her feet than others, and her veterinarian believes she may need a wheelchair in the future. She’s not in pain—just a bit wobbly—and she handles it all with grace. She also has a recessed vulva, which is easily managed with a quick daily hygiene routine. A gentle wipe a day keeps her comfy and clean.
She’s still working on losing a few pounds (about three to go!) to help ease pressure on her joints, and she’ll need occasional vet check-ins to keep her feeling her best. But Lambchop is officially ready to find her forever family—a home that will support her needs while soaking up her snuggles, much more subtle snores, and sweet-as-pie personality.
She’s come a long way. Now she just needs someone to help her go the rest of the way home.
