Sammy is a dapper young pug gentleman with a big personality, a tender heart, and a serious love of his people. About 1 year old and a solid 21.5 lbs of classic pug, he’s super sweet, playful, and does wonderfully with other dogs—especially his buddy Pippa, with whom he loves to romp and play.
Sammy is respectful of cats: he’s curious and would love to be friends, but politely keeps his distance. He’s a big fan of stuffed toys, and they’re a must-have for him—without them, he may try to “redecorate” with shoes, remotes, or phones. The good news? He’s easily redirected and eager to please.
This boy does not love being without his humans and will let you know if he’s unhappy about it (vocally and otherwise), so he’s looking for a home where someone is around most of the time. We’re continuing to work on house manners—he goes outside well but is currently a belly-band guy due to marking.
Sammy can be a little cautious at first and needs a moment to build trust. He’s just starting to take treats directly from hands and may cower a bit when reaching for his adorable puggy head—but with patience, kindness, and consistency, he blossoms more every day.
Fair warning: Sammy is a bed hog, a champion snorer, and an expert cuddler once he settles in. He’s the kind of dog who will steal your heart, your blankets, and probably your favorite pillow—and you’ll love him all the more for it.
