Tanner is a kind, laid-back 4-year-old pug with a gentle nature and an easygoing presence. He’s well trained, calm in the home (with the occasional gremlin mode), and the type of dog who fits into daily life without overwhelming it. Tanner enjoys companionship, routine, and being near his people.
He came to rescue when his owners’ work travel increased, and they made the loving decision to put Tanner’s needs first. It’s clear he was well cared for — he listens well, responds to guidance, and settles beautifully with structure.
Tanner does well with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. In one foster home, he bonded very strongly with a female pug and was extremely enthusiastic about her presence. While his happiness came out a little too big for that particular household, we believe that in the right home — with clear boundaries, supervision, and gentle redirection — Tanner could absolutely live successfully with a female dog. This is something to be aware of and prepared to work on, not a dealbreaker.
Tanner is a good-hearted, joyful dog who thrives with communication, routine, and people willing to guide him as he settles in.
