Heather Campbell
Hi! I’m Heather, and pugs have been a part of my life since I was 10. Growing up in the country outside of Spokane, our family always had four pugs—two boys, two girls, two fawn, two black.
It’s no surprise that when my husband and I started our own family, we did so with two pugs. As the years went by, we welcomed human children and took in additional pugs in need, whether from shelters or other situations. Needless to say, there have been many pugs in our lives!
In 2020, we took a leap into the pug rescue community, where I met amazing people, gained invaluable experience, and built lasting friendships. As the saying goes, when one door closes, another opens—leading me to this incredible team and opportunity.
With my engineering background, I’m eager to bring process-based decision-making and structure to what is often an emotionally driven field. I currently have two pugs—Hope, a liver shunt warrior, and Mabel—along with Boomer, a special Boston terrier. I believe everything in life happens for a reason and many of these reasons, including Boomer and my volunteer experience, have brought me to exactly where I am today.

Bruno, rescued from Emerald City Pet Rescue. My absolute LOVE and still the wallpaper on my phone 5+ years later. His eyes melted me.
